SEMAC's primary purpose is the administration of a series of grant programs, each with a specific focus and set of guidelines. Technical assistance is available for the preparation and submission of grant proposals.
SEMAC also acts as a resource and referral agency for regional arts organizations, schools, artists, as well as between southeastern Minnesota the Minnesota State Arts Board and other regional arts councils in the state.
SEMAC provides a quarterly newsletter, workshops, and consultation and counseling for arts organizations, arts educators and artists. In addition, SEMAC offers an Artist Registry which is free and open to all southeastern Minnesota artists.
